Friday, November 1

November is finally here!

Today we started to review for the Unit 2 Test that students will take on Tuesday. I handed out a study guide to every student today with questions that will help them prepare for the upcoming test. I will not be collecting these study guides, therefore, the are not required. However, that being said I HIGHLY recommend that students complete them.

*HINT* I pull some questions straight from my study guide for the test. Everything that will be on the test is on the study guide. There should be no surprises! :)

Monday, Oct 28

Today is the first day of term 2 which means that we can all start fresh!

In class today we finished talking about Mormon Migration. We looked at a couple of Pioneer songs that were sung on the trails and what their tones were. Students then began writing their own songs as if they were a pioneer walking the trails across the west. These songs will be 8 lines (sentences or phrases) long. The lines can rhyme but they do not have to.

HW:
Homework for tonight is to begin working on the current event for this week. Current events will be due on Friday. :)
