The final will be on Thursday for the class and the District final will be on Friday. Both finals will cover the same material (what we've learned in class this semester).

Today we went to the computer lab to create our accounts to be able to take the district final. Since this took varying amounts of time for each class, after we finished creating accounts, we continued to watch some of the Ken Burn's video.

We started off class today with some students presenting their current events. I then collected everyone's current event for credit.
Today in class we did an activity to learn about how the superstitious legend the Friday the 13th got started. We read a couple articles and students filled out a worksheet with six different questions. Students should have turned this in at the end of class whether they were done or not. (except for 1st period who had it assigned as homework and it will be due on Monday.)
We then continued to watch a little more of the Ken Burns documentary that we started watching yesterday. Students filled out another ten facts that they learned from the video and turned that in at the end of class.
DUE: Current Event; last day to turn in progress reports with signatures for extra credit
HW: Begin reviewing for the final exam that will be next week.

After finishing notes, we watched half of an episode from the Ken Burn's documentary, "The West". We watched episode 4 (Death Runs Riot). While watching this video, students wrote down ten facts or details that they learned from the video (important facts. Not that someone had a kitty named Fluffy) and turned them in at the end of the period.

Today we watched an American Ride video about George Washington and the government. After the video, students wrote a full page based on the following question prompts:

Students finished the American Ride video that they started watching last week. Students needed to turn in their worksheets at the end of class to get credit.

Today we were back in the computer lab. Students needed to finish their "Who's Who in the Government" worksheets. Once they finished those worksheets, students had a video from the American Ride show about the Government to watch and fill out a worksheet about.
