Day One!

Hello students (and perhaps some parents who are logging on),

Today could be summed up as "Welcome Day". First, all students filled out a "get to know you" sheet which is mostly for my benefit since I have 194 students' names to learn in the next couple days! Wish me luck!

I then introduced myself. We did this by becoming detectives and using clues, much like a historian does, to answer the "get to know you" questions about Mrs. Shepherd. Remember what you did that helped you be successful as well as the things that you did that maybe were not so helpful. You will be using these detective-like techniques throughout the year!

This is when we had to get down to the less fun stuff. We went over the disclosure document and discussed the different procedures and policies that I have for my classroom. Remember, the last page of this document must be signed by both the you (the student) as well as your parent or guardian and returned to me by Friday, August 30th!

TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
1. Read the Disclosure Document
2. Sign the disclosure document and have your parent/guardian sign it as well. These are not due until Friday, August 30th but it will be easier to get it done now rather than later :)
