Today we had a guest speaker come to our class (except for 5th period who will hear from the guest speaker on Monday). Since we learned about resources yesterday, today we had a chemical engineer from the Kennecott mine who works in the refinery with natural resources copper, gold, and silver. Mr. Horton from Kennecott talked a little about how copper affects our lives and allowed students to ask any questions about the process.
Students then also had half of the class to type up the rough drafts of their City Compare and Contrast that they should have turned in yesterday. Those who turned in their rough drafts had corrections made by me to help them improve their write-up. We will have the computers in our class again next week on Wednesday for students to finish typing and editing their assignment.
DUE: Natural Forces Disaster worksheet
