Today we started talking about how our lives are different because of the Native Americans that lived in Utah before us. We started by looking at some different Indians who live in contemporary Utah from the five different Historic Indian tribes we have been studying. We read about their different contributes and what they have accomplished in their lives. Students did a Jigsaw activity where they read about on person and became an expert. Students then got in groups with experts from the other four tribes and taught each other. Students had a worksheet to take notes on while doing this Jigsaw.
At the end, students needed to write a little summary about what they learned. This is due on Monday.
